The objectives and principles of the Foundation
The foundation’s objectives are:



  • the promotion of intercultural dialogue and tolerance in the context of the European Union and its expansion,

  • co-operation towards the protection of human rights, development of the free media and of the civil society,

  • implementing all sorts of initiatives leading towards counteracting anti-Semitism, racism and xenophobia,

  • fostering the knowledge about the life , work and the unshaken attitude of Jan Karski ,

  • creating and supporting all sorts of programmes supporting the promotion of knowledge about the multicultural heritage of the societies;

  • creating a platform for the exchange of experiences between organizations promoting the ideas of dialogue and tolerance.


The foundation accomplishes its objectives through the following actions:
activities free of charge:


  • development of exchange programmes for youth, students and diplomats;

  • development of learning programmes about tolerance for schools;

  • by participation of representatives of the educational facilities and instiutions;

  • co-operation with the “Senior universities”;

  • creating topic based portals , databases;

  • initiating organizing, leading and financing of conferences, symposiums, congresses and competitions;

  • organizing and leading social campaigns promoting the ideas of cultural and religious tolerance;

  • preparing and running training courses in the field of dialogue and tolerance;

  • financing Jan Karski scholarships for youth from Poland and abroad, who are engaged in promoting the ideas of dialogue and tolerance;

  • initiating, organizing, running and financing of social, information and promotion campaigns,

  • awarding annual prizes for individuals with achievements in the field of building dialogue between nations;

  • development of integration programmes for national, ethnic and religious minorities;

  • supporting and financing the edition of information materials on paper and in digital form;

  • other activities according to the goals of the Foundation.

  • development of an e-learning platform;

  • preparing and running of certified training courses;

  • developing, running, editing and distributing magazines, books, films and other multimedia publications;

  • research.
